چکیده

When planning is possible, as in predictive environments, comprehensive contracting not only desirable, but also useful. However, under conditions of fundamental uncertainty, the case non-predictive incomplete approaches likely prevail. In this study, we explore how trust such environments affects way which venturing professionals negotiate, and outcome subsequently manifests itself negotiated agreement. particular, building upon a sample Norwegian firms, find that stewardship relationships are more prone to than agency relationships, paving for relational approach when uncertainty high. Implications theory practice discussed.

Protocols for Negotiating Complex Contracts

Work to date on negotiation protocols has focused on defining contracts consisting of one or a few independent issues. Many real-world contracts, by contrast, are much more complex, consisting of multiple inter-dependent issues and intractably large contract spaces. This paper describes a simulated annealing based approach appropriate for negotiating such complex contracts that achieves near-op...

Notes on Incomplete Contracts

Throughout the course, we have assumed that all contracts are complete. This is, of course, complete nonsense in reality but a useful starting point in theory. But why is it complete nonsense in reality? What are we missing? Many stories have been suggested. One possibility is that we can, indeed, think of all possible contingencies, but it is costly to write all of these down in a contracts (L...
